First CETAL- Petawatt Workshop
19-20 November, Magurele, Romania
The workshop "First CETAL- Petawatt Workshop” will be held in Bucharest-Magurele, on November 19th – 20th 2013. The aim of the workshop is to plan the first experiments at CETAL PW laser facility.
The workshop aims to specify the main instrumentation that will be needed for experiments at the CETAL PW laser facility. It is intended that experimentalists present their research ideas and identify the necessary equipment for realization of their experiments proposals. Theoretical presentations are equally invited that would encourage and deepen possible research paths at the CETAL PW laser facility.
The meeting will be focused on identifying and setting up the first experiments and associated time schedule. People interested to participate should contact the workshop organizers at cetal-pw@inflpr.ro

Schedule of the workshop
The scientific programme will start at 9.30 am on November 19, 2013, and finish on November 20th, 2013, at 5.30 pm.
Meeting hall
The workshop will take place in the Festivities Hall of IFIN, near the IFA tower and near the National Physics Library in Magurele.
The location is 10 km away from the recommended hotel.
Direct trip from Otopeni to Magurele is 30 km.

For arrival in Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport. From the airport, one can take the bus 783 to Piatza Unirii + taxi to hotel (about 2-4 km from Piatza Unirii. The bus drives also during night. For bus one has to buy a 7 lei ticket (1euro=4.2 lei), taxi should be cheaper than half an euro/km (1.4-1.5 lei/km)

In the Otopeni airport you can use one of the two kiosks using the Clever Taxi, located in the airport arrivals terminal

One can take the official taxi of the Airport, which is less than 1 euro/km (20 km=> 20 euro from airport to hotel). Pay attention to the taxi company (Total, Meridian, Mama Leone, Cristaxi, Perozzi, Cobalcescu, Speed Taxi, Pelican, are all fine) and discuss the price in advance,it is written on the taxi doors.
Evenings
As we do not have any registration fee, and the available budget is limited, we did not organize dinner. But Hotel Parliament http://www.parliament-hotel.ro/ is close to Old Town where you can find a large number of restaurants and bars. We recommend the Restauant Hanu Berarilor, indicated on the attached map. Also in the Old Town you might want to try Caru cu Bere or many other restaurants.
